1967 Volvo Amazon 122S Race Car

1967 Volvo Amazon 122S Race Car For Sale

Here's a Volvo vintage racing car, based on the Volvo Amazon 122S 2-door sedan released in 1967. It has been stored since 2013. Need more touches to get back to race-ready. The engine was built by John Parker in 2010.

It could be a potential bone to restored. The car looks quite complete as a racing car, with all the racing equipment in it. Need nothing just tune up the engine and then ready to competition.

Details about this car by owner
1967 Volvo Amazon 122S Race Car. The motor needs about $3,500.00 to get back to race ready. Some of the items/parts on my Volvo are as follows:

The engine was built by John Parker in 2010. It's a B20 block (2000cc) with 123 Ignition distributor, R-Sport intake with dual Weber DCOE 45s and a Ron Davis custom radiator (plus a spare stock radiator). The gearbox is the M40 4-speed with a spare gearbox as well.

Full roll cage (1.5 inch diameter, material thickness = .125) built by Chad Klungle with a 10 gallon Jaz fuel cell.

The car sits on P1800 ES front and rear end (5x108 bolt pattern) with two sets of the Virgo Turbo wheels (one set of Hoosier Street TDs, the other set are all-season radials) and disc brakes (Girling calipers) all the way around. One current axle is set up with a 4.30 gear ratio and a Tru-Trac locking diff. The spare axle has 4.56 gears and a welded diff.

The suspension consists of poly bushings, IPD sway bars front/rear, Blue Coil springs (1000lb front, 125lb rear), Pro-Shock in the rear and AFCO shocks in the front.
