1987 AM General M1038 Humvee HMMWV

Up for sale, 1987 AM General M1038 Humvee HMMWV

The American Light Military Utility Vehicle, commonly known as the Humvee, is a four-wheel drive military automobile made by AM General. It won the tender to replace the Jeep in the US Military job, beating other competitors such as the Cheetah and Lamborghini. The picture you see is of an AM General Humvee HMMWV built in 1987, which is currently up for sale.

If you're interested, here are the details. This 1987 Humvee comes with a winch that's just out of service. It has less than 26000 original miles and is in great condition with plenty of life left in it for years to come. The 6.2 GM 8-cylinder diesel engine runs great, and it has a 3-speed automatic transmission backed by a high and low transfer case. All functions, such as the heat and lights, work fine.

The Humvee has a new Military speck camo paint and a new 4-man soft top, with the interior being in good shape. The tires are Goodyear and have 95% tread. The 4-wheel drive works perfectly as well. You're welcome to inspect the truck Mon-Fri 8 am-4:30 pm, and on the weekend by appointment only.

This is the first Humvee to be released from the military in 16 years, and it's not one that has been sitting or in civilian hands; it's directly from the military, right out of service. It has been thoroughly checked from one end to the other, and it's 100% ready for action. These Humvees don't come up for sale every day, so don't miss out on your chance to own one of the coolest vehicles on earth.

We can ship this to you in the lower 48 states, and it would cost around $2.50+/- a loaded with a $650 minimum. If you're looking for a fleet, we do have three more in stock. Please note that this is sold for off-road use only and will come with a bill of sale instead of a title. It can only be sold to a US citizen.
