Found the first generation high performance of the Volkswagen automobile flagship in the 70s to 80s, well-known as the Scirocco MK1 is a 3-door 2+2 sport compact coupe. As you've seen here a VW Scirocco S released in 1981 has been swapped and upgraded with a younger 2.0L 16V engine, is said to run and drive great but not perfect and still has a few parts to adjust and rebuilt. Seems it has a lot of potential and looks promising, already posted on Craigslist about 17 hours ago for $3800 in Kent, WA.

This is my 1981 Scirocco S. Was purchased new by my father so i know everything about its history. I have all the service history and window sticker. Its a solid car and has served us well its whole life. When my father passed it down to me in 09 it was original but the engine was tired so i decided to swap it in favor of a 2.0 16v mated to a 9a close ratio trans. The engine is running on megasquirt. I purchased the kit new and had the wire harness and ecu built professionally. Its a v3 board with v2 chip. Runs really well but could still use some tuning. I used to have electrical issues so i replaced the whole wiring harness and fuse block with one from a 82 Scirocco with the blade style fuses. As you can see i have a substantial amount of time and money into this car not to mention the sentimental value.. Below i have listed pros and cons of the car. Feel free to call or text me with questions. I want 4,500 for the car as is or 3,800 without the wheels, you would have to bring your own. I know what im into the car for and how much sentimental value it has for me, so therefor my price is firm. I have attatched links to some videos of the car below.

Pros-
9a 2.0 16v engine
Timing belt/wp/tuneup parts/wideband o2/clutch/axle cup seals/radiator/wheel bearings/100mm axles are all replaced within 3-5k
Bilstien front and rear shocks with neuspeed sport springs
Brand new 15" enkie apache 2 wheels with brand new tires
Lower kbar
New exhaust system done by proexhaust
Good windshield
Zender rear spoiler
Early style oem front scirocco lip
No rot on the body

Cons
The paint is dull and worn. The car was repainted 25 years ago and is peeling in areas. There was no bondo used anywhere except for the driver fender. The driver fender has a whole in it from the old repair. I have a replacement fender for it. Theres a small kink in the passenger quarter panel below the filler cap. Small notch cut out of hood to clear accelerator cable (worst decision ever). Window seals are worn out. Little bit of surface rust in areas.
No carpet
Heater not working (I have new replacement in box)
Needs a proper alignment since i replaced the stuts
