Complete Project, 1973 Toyota Celica for sale
Found this one being offered in Craigslist looking for $3950 located in Escondido, California. As shown here is a complete project of the first generation Celica, interesting car to restored especially for Japanese classic cars enthusiasm. Reportedly run but has been parked for a long time ago. All looks promising still have something important to be a roadworthy car, that could be a good base to start restored.this an Japanese classic car built in 1973 by Toyota Motor Corporation as a 2-door sports car, that was made to compete with Ford Mustang and Ford Falcon at the North American market on that time.
The exterior and interior both appear as an abandoned car and in need of some help, but there still appears to be lots of potential here. The base seems has a quite good shape with some works needed to be great again, the interior very clearly in needs renovated, shown crack on the dashpad and reupholstery is must. The floor looks solid no hole seen from here, the rest of the interior features still there not losing much.
As owner said, this a running engine. On this periode for North American market, the Celica was offered in three different levels of trim; LT, ST and GT and three engines type followed. If not wrong, this a 2.0 L 18R inline 4 engine which are fitted for ST series, for sure a closer inspection needed. The car is a project, The cars has very little rust and its all complete. The car runs but its been sitting for several year. Interior is complete but need to be redone. Not Parting out so please don't ask. 4 cylinder carburated engine, 4 speed manual transmission. Asking 3950 OBO - May consider a trade for other cars or desert toy.
Not in a hurry to sale the car or need the money. The only reason the car is up for sale is because i have a lot of projects and it will take me a long time to get to this one.
