Nice Restoration, 1953 DeSoto Firedome Station Wagon

Found this nice example of old American family cars that was listed on Craigslist about 30 days ago, and is still online today. As shown here the first generation of the DeSoto topline series commonly known as the Firedome, was released in 1953 as a 5-door station wagon body type. All looks great and presented well by photos, and reportedly has been restored.

The car is being offered for sale by the owner's friend, if you're interested must see closer.


Color combination looks great from here. Hard to find imperfections here, the dash shows exceptionally well in photos with clean surfaces wood, brown and white upholstery looks tidy and black carpets looks nice. Hoped all instruments work properly also. Anyway it's a pretty good renovation result.


As shown here is original engine was sit nicely on the bay. The Firedome was powered by a Hemi V8 engine, when new he can producing 160 hp, had a top speed of 100 mph (160 km/h) and need 15.5 seconds from 0 to 60 mph (100 km/h). This was the first time that DeSoto offered an 8-cylinder engine in one of its models since 1931.

This an American antique car that was made by Willys, was a line of passenger cars manufactured first by Willys-Overland and later by Kaiser-Willys Corporation from 1952 through 1955 which are known as Willys Aero. As you've seen here is one unmolested example of the Willys Aero 2-door sedan, released in 1953 almost 64 years old still in original condition, ready for daily use.

Not the most perfect but it's a perfect bone to restore, it has been driven about 72000 miles, no machanical issue, the exterior looks nice with a new paint and needs few work in interior side to be perfect. That was offered for sale in Craigslist asking $5556 located in Denver Colorado.

Back in the postwar era around 50s, where the mostly of the American trucks fitted by a gas engine still as the flagship productions and popular than a diesel, one name has a greats reputation and has popular in American culture that was named the REO may some of you have been heard, if not ask to your grandfathers, they should know that name.

As shown here is REO Fire Truck it was a rare sight today, and this particular example of the Louisville fire department heritage. Even so, what was once the pride of the American truck industry can now be acquired for $4500, this particular 1953 model is in a deplorable condition, but is not actually losing him it still has original engine with 14K miles on it. This could a perfect start for a restomod – just imagine how nice to see the truck was back as the heyday.

This very rare find today, it's an American classic truck was born in pilothouse era where's mostly trucks has features a high-visibility cab with optional rear quarter windows, so we able to see around without hindrance, such as the fighter pilot cabin its era. But it's not, this a Dodge B-Series truck 1953 model year come with single rear window has been completely rebuild, but wait it's not original it only body frame they used. The original it's a 1989 Dodge Dakota Sport 4x4 truck come with the B-Series truck appearance. As you seen the truck looks perfect and very well condition like a new car ready for sale today.

Come with perfect body frame, all looks great and straight with a new paint. Come with newly interior its looks good, had modernize steering and transmission, hope all instrument and indicators work well also. The engine not the original it looks younger, yes of course, because is a 1989 Dodge Dakota engine. Overall its been a coolest outcome of the good finishing touch for the classic Dodge B-Series truck, asking $22500.
