1981 Ferrari 308 GTB

1981 Ferrari 308 GTB For Sale

I came across a classic European sports car for sale on Craigslist about a month ago. The car is a 1981 Ferrari with the license plate number 308 GTB. It is a dream car for speed enthusiasts and quite rare in the US. The Italian manufacturer Ferrari released it in 1981, and it is the successor of the Dino 246 GT/GTS. This 2-seater sports car has a V8 mid-engined, rear-wheel-drive layout designed by Pininfarina.

This 41-year-old car has only been driven 39800 miles since new, making it a remarkable example of the 308 GTB available on the market today. If you're looking for a chance to own one of the European dream cars, this is your opportunity to add it to your garage.

1981 Ferrari 308 GTB for sale

This 1981 European model Ferrari 308GTB is an absolute beauty with its stunning red paint and beige leather interior. This particular model is a European market example, which offers some performance advantages over the standard U.S. model. It is being sold for $75,555 and is in superb condition.

Interior 1981 Ferrari 308 GTB

The beige interior looks exceptionally well in the photos with clean surfaces and trim throughout. It is cool and very rarely used for its age. All materials have a good shape and are tidy. There have been no mentions of rebuilding or mechanical issues; therefore, it is in genuine condition, and we hope all panels, equipment, and features on the dash are still working properly, including air conditioning, cassette stereo, and radio.

The mid-mounted 2.9L quad-cam V8 engine is equipped with four twin-choke Weber 40DCNF carburetors and was factory rated at 240 horsepower. It is mated to a 5-speed manual transmission and can go from 0 to 100 mph in just 15 seconds, with a top speed of 159 mph. Despite no mentions of mechanical issues and the fact that it is unmodified, you should always come to see it for an accurate assessment of its condition.

Beautiful 2003 Ferrari 360 Spider

Beautiful 2003 Ferrari 360 Spider

Beautiful 2003 Ferrari 360 Spider For Sale

This is a Ferrari 360 Spider released in 2003, one of 670 Spiders that were produced with a rare 6-speed manual offered for sale on Craigslist for $ 98350 located in Seattle. The car looks great for its age is a stock one-owner example in classic Rosso over tan leather with just over 35,325 miles and a documented service history from new.

Exterior, the 24 years old Rosso paint still looks smooth and shiny. The best thing is on the body side, designed by Pininfarina from aluminum without wings or tail but produced nearly 400 pounds of downforce at top speed. Hard to find imperfection from here, if you are interested should come to see directly its real condition.

Not the best angle to represent the interior, but free of damage or signs of severe wear and tear to him. The Tan leather seat look has a good shape but shows its age, the good is no major rips or tears shown here.

Looks so cool, with a transparent engine cover fitted by a 3.6 L Tipo F131 V8 engine inside, and nothing disturbing the eyes all looked clean and nice. The 360 model has two options for the transmission, the first with 6-speed "F1" electrohydraulic manual as standard and the second is a rare one with a 6-speed manual, and the owner claims this car carries a rare option.

Ferrari Hot Rod

Ferrari Hot Rod

Awesome Custom Build, Ferrari Hot Rod

Found this one superb hot rod custom build being offered for sale on Craigslist looking for $250000 located in LA. As you've seen here is a very nice Ferrari Hot Rod based on 1932 Ford chassis and fitted 18 inches black Alan Lee rims wheels-wrapped Achilles racing slick tires to accommodate its performance.

May with its original frame and chassis the Ferrari has a lot more value than this, they should have a compelling reason to do that, but not revealed in the ad.

As far as we can see from the photos and read descriptions, the engine came from a late 80's Ferrari model a 3.0 L V8 form most likely a Dino engine belong Mondial or 308 GTB/GTS. Just guessing, the car was destroyed by accident so they decided to rebuild on a far older Ford frame and chassis to aim for a new Ferrari hot rod car to get born rather than let it suffer with a replica.

Anyways it really cools hot rod car ever seen here, that was an awesome outcome, and a clever decision $250000 is worth it.

Also this no less hot: The Conqueror 1962 Chevrolet Corvette C1RS, Hot Rod Custom

Rare Fiberglass, 1976 Ferrari 308 GTB For Sale

Found on Craigslist while looking for a new home, it's a rare car in the US, a Ferrari 308 GTB factory fiberglass body was built in 1976. Not a replica or clone, it's an original example by Ferrari. Originally the early 308s were manufactured in the 70s with fiberglass bodies and only 712 units of the fiberglass version were made, and this is one of them. Sold mainly in Italy, the Ferrari 308 was the successor to the Dino 246 GT/GTS, which was a two-seater sports car with a mid-engined V8, rear-wheel drive layout produced by the Italian company Ferrari from 1975 to 1985.

The 308 has a separate tube frame with the body designed by Leonardo Fioravanti of Pininfarina, is also mechanically similar to the Dino 308 GT4, and has many similarities to the original Dino.

Gray Import, 1976 Ferrari 365 GT4 2+2

Gray Import, 1976 Ferrari 365 GT4 2+2

Gray Import, 1976 Ferrari 365 GT4 2+2 For Sale

This is what we found on Craigslist today, for $64,800, an attractive red vintage grand tourer from Italy with a front-engine, rear-wheel-drive layout made by Ferrari. Somehow, often encountered some Italian manufacturers giving different names to one line of product, while completely different lines come with similar names, it's a bit confusing like this one sample.

The 365 line of cars is quite possibly the most confusing product line-up since the advent of mass manufacturing by Ferrari. For example, the 365 GT4 2+2 has the same shape (design) as the 400 and 412 but has the same name as the 365 GTB/4, 356 GTS/4, 365 California, 365 GT 2+2, 365 GTC, and GTS, where respectively each being an almost completely different car. Maybe you have to be an expert to know the model without looking at the registration papers, especially for the 356 GT4 2+2 with the 400 and 412 series.

CHECK OUT: 1983 Ferrari 400i

1976 Ferrari 365 GT4 2+2 rear view

As shown here 1976 Ferrari 365 GT4 2+2 was the final of the first generation of his line, then replaced by the 400 in the following year. Good condition overall with service records, with only 83k kilometers or about 52k miles on it. Originally a silver car from Maranello in the early 80s was imported to California by grey market entry, and two years later wears the greatness red Ferrari color.

1976 Ferrari 365 GT4 2+2 Interior

I don't like the results of this photo, makes the material looks cheap and looks dull, hopefully, it's the effect of too much light when taking the shoot. The original interior looks well with signs of use, but no excessive wear. The materials are all in great shape also the wood of the center console. The black upholstery doesn't look cracked or torn, but there is a split seam in the driver's seat. Solid floors covered by factory mats.

1976 Ferrari 365 GT4 2+2 V12 engine

Most of the Ferrari 365 models carry a version of the Colombo V12 engine, as shown here is a 4.4 L Colombo Tipo F101 V12 with 365cc per cylinder fitted with six twin-choke side-draft Webers and made 340 horsepower when new. And no automatic option for the 365 GT4 2+2 model, all 524 units ever produced married with a 5-speed manual transmission. The engine bay looks unmodified with the less unsightly wrapping layer on the hood, but the engine runs great with no words about leaks or mechanical issues.

Classic Coupe 1983 Ferrari 400i

Here's an Italian classic coupe produced by Ferrari, it's a 400i built in 1983 and comes as a 2-door Coupe powered by a 4.8L FI V12 engine blowing 310 hp. This is a very rare opportunity to acquire a good-looking Ferrari 400i, finished in Rosso Corsa.

Detail about this Ferrari by owner
1983 Ferrari 400i 2-door coupe
As the car has been dry stored for the past 8 years, the underside is very solid.
Before turning the engine over, or attempting to start it we took every precaution and performed an oil and filter change.

Plugs out, the engine turned over smoothly.

We replaced the original ignition module with a new MSD unit along with new spark plugs.

It now runs, but the cold start/choke needs attention as it’s been stood for so long.

We also had to do something about the original exhaust that was on it. It was cracked and blowing. So we removed the whole thing, from the headers back, and installed straight-through stainless, for now. (It’s very loud so will need silencers installing!)

Plenty of past bills, receipts and all relevant paperwork – including the original service book.

The car is currently displaying 46,000 miles, but we believe it to have had an odometer change in the past. Therefore mileage is approximately 90,000, taking into account the odometer change.

The bodywork isn’t the best. It does need attention. The bottom half of the doors, especially - as the paint has crazed there.

If you want the bodywork to be perfect, it’d need a re-spray. But if you’re looking at having a usable Ferrari you can drive and park anywhere? This would make an ideal winter project.

The interior is in very good order for its age, with high quality Claret carpets with champagne beige Connolly leather. It has extended black leather dashboard and console.

This is a Ferrari. 400’s have started to appreciate in value, and will continue to do so.
For someone with some time to spend on it, this Ferrari would be a very wise investment. Don’t waste time and money restoring lesser marques. – This is a V12 Ferrari.
