This Germany classic bus produced by Mercedes-Benz, it's a first generation of T2S bus variant of the Düsseldorfer Transporter commonly known as the Mercedes-Benz O309. As the picture is a diesel model the O309D built in 1967 come in L406D variant. Originally is a German postal vehicle, has been converted to camper in German on the 70s then was imported to US. Mechanical and electric all work good, the engine side had converted to younger the Mercedes-Benz OM617 diesel engine mated with original 4 speed manual transmission. Overall is not perfect, still have much work a project needed, but this one of the most solid bases you will find in the US and exceedingly rare also.
