1983 De Tomaso Longchamp

1983 De Tomaso Longchamp

The 1983 De Tomaso Longchamp: Italian Style Meets American Muscle

The 1983 De Tomaso Longchamp is a rare jewel in the world of classic grand tourers (GT). This Italian masterpiece combines stunning design with the thrilling performance of a Ford V8, making it a true collector's item.

Italian Design Heritage
Designed by Tom Tjaarda at Ghia, the Longchamp boasts a sleek and stylish profile that turns heads wherever it goes. The influence of Tjaarda's earlier Lancia Marica prototype is evident in the car's flowing lines, while the use of Alfa Romeo 1750/2000 taillights adds a touch of classic Italian flair.

American Power Meets Italian Handling
Under the hood of the 1983 Longchamp lies a powerful Ford 351 Cleveland V8 engine. This iconic American powerplant provides exhilarating performance, perfectly complementing the car's all-independent suspension for a truly engaging driving experience.

Upgraded with forged pistons, a Crane hydraulic cam, Jacobs ignition, an Edelbrock intake, and a Holley carburetor, this Longchamp offers not only classic good looks but also reliable and powerful performance.

1983 Datsun 280ZX Turbo

1983 Datsun 280ZX Turbo For Sale

Found this one offered for sale on Craigslist, the second generation Z-car, a 1983 Datsun 280ZX Turbo, twin brother of Nissan Fairlady 280Z. That was listed about six days ago in excellent condition, ready to go for the new owner. It's the Japanese sports car created as a serious contender for American muscle cars at that time, like the Pontiac Trans Am, and one of the top five most recognizable Japanese-made two-seaters.

The Nissan S130 platform has been recognized as a classic 1980s sports car for the last few decades. However, their values have seemingly always been fairly stagnant due to large-scale production numbers that hardly made them rare. Now that all has changed, they are hard to find nowadays, because most of them have become sheet metal in landfills, and few of them have survived like this one example.
