Rarer Than GTO, 1971 Pontiac Lemans Sport, Manual Trans For Sale

I came across a third-generation Pontiac LeMans for sale on Craigslist in Sagamore Beach, Massachusetts. The asking price is $39,900. Initially, the LeMans was a trim upgrade based on the Tempest. However, in 1971, Pontiac discontinued the Tempest name and introduced its intermediate lineup as the LeMans and GTO as a separate line. As we all know, the GTO is one of the most popular muscle cars and it was spawned from the LeMans lineup.

The car listed for sale is a fine example of the 1971 LeMans Sport edition, which is a combination of GTO and LeMans. This was done to avoid insurance premium surcharges that were imposed on muscle cars at that time. Essentially, it was a GTO in LeMans clothing.

1967 Pontiac LeMans Sport 2 Doors Sedan

One of the legendary American muscle cars between the 60s and 70s. Fully restored by Brown's performance motor cars. It is a wonderful Restoration, an extremely nice car with very clean paint and a straight body. Her interior is finished in a dark blue bucket seat interior complete with a center console. Equipped with a 326 Pontiac block and a th350 transmission it runs very well and has been built to drive. Little touches like period-correct wheels finish the car off nicely.

Wonderful Restoration, 1969 Pontiac Le Mans

Here's a 1969 Pontiac Le Mans completely restored by Tecalz, one of the most wonderful restorations ever seen here. The Pontiac Le Mans was a model name applied to compact and intermediate-sized automobiles offered by the Pontiac division of General Motors from 1962 to 1981.

Features original 1969 Pontiac 350 cubic inch V8 motor, strong, has plenty of running power, clean and perfect under the hood, no smoke or burn oil, no unusual mechanical noises. Run like lightning.

Even not from the top of the caste, nonetheless, it performs very well. This engine will out-pull a similar Chevy 350 due to its massive stroke. What I have done since owning this car is add a new Edelbrock aluminum intake with a freshly rebuilt Holley 650 spread bore carburetor. Runs smooth and is a blast to drive out on the interstate.
