Rare American Classic School Bus With Tandem Axles
This a rare American classic bus made by Crown Coach Corporation. it's a Supercoach School Bus built in 1986 still in excellent condition. Long-lived production buses since 1948 till 1991 almost never change his styles and shape. Thanks to a new emission regulation the State of California the bus must go far away from its homeland or change its function.These a rare bus today rarely seen passing on the highway, it could be a very potential bus to converted into motorhome. Not many details by owner, but it looks have terrific body frame, complete interior all passenger seats still there. Unfortunately no engine photos to consider, hope is a really good. Very rare, "IN DAILY SERVICE" Tandem Axle (61 adult PAX/91 Children) 1986 Crown School Bus "Shrek". We are forced by the State of California to end commercial service due to CARB and AQMD standards. Hundred of these SHERMAN TANKS, will be scrapped and going to China to be recycled.. School Districts and Private Schools can only receive their replacement subsidies by destroying these American Icon Buses.

A Detroit inline 6 cylinder 671 engine, Turbo, coupled to an Alison 740 heavy duty Transmission (recently replaced). This Unit features "air ride suspension" and tandem axle drive option. All 8 rear tires to give you superb traction in just about any road condition
Two years ago in anticipation of California's legislation we began selling off our fleet of 10 Crowns, we only did so because of this legislation. Our "in service" Crowns were driven, and delivered, to Dallas, Tx, and Boston, MA without breakdown or incident. We have faith in this Crown that it can be delivered anywhere USA.
