1997 Ford Econoline E350 4x4 Van

1997 Ford Econoline E350 4x4 Van For Sale

Here's the fourth generation of Econoline Van produced by Ford in the 90s. It's a Ford Econoline E350 4x4 Van built in 1997. A major change of the engine lineup was made in 1997; with the 6.8L Triton V10 engine. The Econoline received an updated front end with a new grille that featured an oval cutout and a new lower front bumper trim. Inside, an ergonomic dashboard layout containing dual airbags was introduced.

The Econoline was listed ten days ago on Craigslist and was still online when we posted it here. It's a well-maintained 4x4 Camper Van, with a lot of updates and upgrades during current ownership. Runs, and drives great without mechanical or leak issues.

Detail about this Van by owner
It's unfortunately time to see the "Baja Bus" which has been a member of our family for 3 yrs and taken us to some of the most amazing and remote places in Baja California. Where do I even start? It's a 1997 Ford Econoline E350 with the 6.8L V10 engine in Ford "Competition Orange" paint. In a word, mechanically it is BULLETPROOF. It's setup to sleep 5 people comfortably with a custom rack on top, General Grabber tires ($1750 installed), best available window tint that blocks 90% of heat, rock-solid transmission with brand new fluid and Hughes high-capacity ribbed-aluminum pan, new oil, oil cooler, just- service this week radiator, new hoses and belts (tags still in place), tires rotated and balanced. Dual steering shocks up front and new, upgraded front shocks. Top pops up almost 3' and I have (2) Optima AGM batteries isolated on frame rails with a 5000 watt clean inverter to power an ARB Fridge/Freezer (will freeze 60 cans of beer in 2 hrs in 110F) or any electronic device with 100% clean power. I spared no expense on the battery setup and you can tell. I have always run 2 qts of Lucas Oil in with Mobil 1 full synthetic oil and full synthetic transmission fluid. Never towed anything or ever abused the engine. The original owner supplied me with a compression test and it was 10/10 and even across all cylinders. I have no reason to doubt it's still that way! 4x4 is clean as a whistle and 100% functional. Dana 60 in front and 10.5 Sterling axle in rear. Top on this van is Contempo top like Sportsmobile. $13,000 total just in the 4x4 conversion and top.
