Awesome Patina Rat Rod Corvair Greenbrier Van

Awesome Patina Rat Rod Corvair Greenbrier Van

Here's American classic microbus produced by Chevrolet, yes this a Greenbrier Van based on Corvair chassis built in 1963. This locally contender of VW Bus in US market on 60-70's.

Detail about this car by owner
1963 Chevy Greenbrier Van. Awesome patina! Even has a rare roof rack option! Looks great! Found this bad boy in Kansas and had it transported out here. It has great character and perfect rusty areas for that Ratty look! Should be left alone and not restored!

I just finished rebuilding all the brakes, all new suspension, and the fuel system with recondition tank, new fuel lines and fuel sending unit from Clark's Corvair.

I lowered this Corvair to give it the right look! All new KYB shocks at all four corners with freshly powder coated satin black on the rare FC wheels. Brand new penner whites.

New parts lists:

  • Master cylinder
  • All new metal brake lines, made just like originals
  • Turned drums
  • Four new wheel cylinders
  • New wheel bearings and seals
  • Brakes shoes
  • New upper and lower control arm bushings
  • New upper and lower ball joints
  • Four new KYB shocks
  • New aluminum gas lines
  • New sending unit
  • Reconditioned gas tank
  • Powder Coated FC original 14" wheels
  • New penner white walls tires

Currently not running, but I do have a good motor and a manual Tranny 4-speed. They are both out. The motor needs to be freshened up and maybe a new clutch? A lot of NOS parts and new parts for the motor to get it ready again.

Finish and install the motor, you will have a badass slammed Van! These Greenbriers are getting pretty rare, plus the original patina it has, its priceless.
