This a American Muscle Car that was produced by American Motors Corporation (AMC), as the picture is the AMX released in 1968 a two-seat GT-style sports car was also classified as a muscle car came with short wheelbase, it unique among other American cars at the time. This survivor car, unrestored has low miles, garaged kept, looking for a new house.

Detail by seller
AMC's AMX is a bit smaller than your typical late 1960s American muscle car, but packs more power, comfort and options than European sports cars of the same era. This 1968 AMC AMX is a low-mileage, very highly optioned example with factory air and the desirable "go package" -- which includes the 390 ci V8 with four-barrel carb, dual exhaust, power disc brakes, posi-traction rear end, handling package, heavy duty cooling, racing stripes and factory tachometer. The car has seen one repaint in the correct color (original paint remains under the hood); it's an unrestored but very well-preserved survivor in nice condition inside and out. Nearly new tires on factor rally wheels. Interior shows well -- the AMX was the only steel-bodied two-seater of its era (the Corvette was fiberglass, of course). Bucket seats in excellent condition. Dash, carpet, door panels and center console are good. Minor patina on rare optional steering wheel. Factory A/C blows cold; all original except for modern stereo and supplemental gauges. Under the hood is an AMC 390 cubic inch V8 mated to a three-speed "Shift Command" automatic transmission. Runs and drives well; new front brakes and service is up-to-date. Mileage at just over 54k is believed to be original (copies of previous titles showing mileage, an "actual miles" brand on the current title and the car's overall condition make us confident that the odometer has not rolled over).
