Big Block, 1970 Oldsmobile 442

Big Block, 1970 Oldsmobile 442

This one of the coolest American muscle cars made by Oldsmobile, as the picture is the Cutlass 442 1970 model year is a second generation has been full restoration and it have a big block engine under the hood. A 1970 Oldsmobile 442 was featured in the chase scene of the movie Demolition Man starring Sylvester Stallone.

The pics as confirm, it a looks so cool and very nice American classic muscle car able to grab today. Hopefully nothing is hidden the current owner already write a long enough description and details of the car below, presented to potential buyer. Very nice orange 1970 Oldsmobile 442 ready to go for $25000.

Details by owner
The information on this car was provided to me by the previous owner who owned it for several years, and also by having it checked out by a local auto restoration shop after I purchased it earlier this year.

1970 Oldsmobile 442. VIN is 344870Z125xxx.
The "44" in the VIN verifies this is a REAL 442, with the Factory correct 455-V8 (365-hp).
The engine casting # reads 396021 F. The heads # reads 403686, the carburetor # reads 7040253, Rochester Q-jet.

The other Factory options are as follows,

M-21 close ratio 4-speed transmission with Hurst shifter, Bucket seats, Power steering, Power disc brakes (very rare on 4-speed cars), Sport steering wheel, Gauges, Tic-Toc-Tachometer, Sonomatic AM radio, Remote control drivers door mirror, Map light in rear-view mirror, 15-inch Rally wheels, 12-bolt Posi-traction rear axle with the 3.42 gear ratio. The odometer shows about 74,800 which according to the previous owner is the correct mileage.

The car was originally Gold with a black vinyl top. One of the previous owners paid thousands of dollars to have it taken down to bare metal & repainted the reddish/orange color it is now, to resemble a 442 shown in one of the original ads for them from 1970 (see picture). He obviously chose to not have a vinyl top put back on, but the new owner can do so if they want. Aside from the paint color change & vinyl top, the rest of the car seems to be all original, and is a very solid, rust free car that needless to say get's attention & complements when ever people see it! The headliner is beginning to sag a little, but otherwise the rest of the interior still looks nice & clean. The car is powerful & runs strong like a good big block should, and is very fun to drive!

It's not perfect, not a show car, but it is pretty much in excellent overall condition. The current NADA values (when you add on for the 365-hp motor & 4-speed transmission) are as follows,, LOW is $25,500,, AVERAGE is $37,750,, HIGH is $61,000. As described the car is much better than "Average", but does lose some value with the non-original paint color (even though it's a beautiful car). It's being offered on a first come, first serve basis. I'll sell to the first one who shows up in person for $25,000 Firm. In order to buy my car,, you need to come SEE IT in person & talk with me in person.
