1977 Toyota Celica RA29

Here's a nice classic sport car produced by the Japanese automaker Toyota designed to captivate of the American customers, especially to compete with locally the Ford Mustang. In the middle of the 70's, which is a hegemony of the muscle-car era still stronger, the Toyota tried offers the Celica come with a similar shape as the Mustang fastback with lower price. It's a really greats car it to be one of the best Japanese sport cars in US. Yes it's about a 1977 Toyota Celica GT series was often called the Japanese Mustang.

1977 Toyota Celica RA29

As we've seen here, is a high performance version was coming from the final model of the first generation Celica families, is a RA29 model released in 1977 has been fully restored. The owner says is to be very solid, no rust, no dent with perfect shape, the car looks and sounds like a very good restoration project outcome, at least as far as we can tell without seeing underneath. Finding in Craigslist already offered 21 days ago located in LA looking for $12000 or trade with a Delorean.

1977 Toyota Celica RA29 Engine

Awesome looks like a perfect machine with a nice blue color, seem has been fully rebuilt with slight modifications and upgrade parts to increase his performance. Described by the owner as runs and drives very well and a gas friendly, but with a minus will not pass smog test. Correctly factory specs a 2.2-liter 20R straight-four engine backed by a manual transmission only 128000 miles since done.

1977 Toyota Celica RA29 Interior

Not much we can take it from an interior photo, but it looks clean, the seller note that new headliner and carpets have been fitted, no tears or cracks on the dahspad and seats.

Details by owner
Time to move on to a different project. This is a 1977 celica RA29. It is a fastback complete with louvers. Clean title. Pink slip in hand. I am in ZERO rush to sell, and would like to place this car in the right hands. I am the third owner.

The entire interior was reupholstered to black leather.
It has no tears.
The headliner is new.
Carpet in great shape.
Nardi wooden steering wheel.
Original Toyota 8 track player/radio. The plan was to wire in a real radio in glove box or something. Car already has infinity speakers so very easy to install a radio.
The interior dash lights were replaced with LED bulbs. Looks a lot brighter.
Ac was removed a long time ago.
Heater works fine.

Exterior of the car is in great condition.
It is like a metallic black color.
Comes with the Japanese style chrome bumpers. They were re-chromed about a year ago.
Tail light bezels and JDM license plate cover were painted a gloss black.
Rear blue and yellow original plates restored.
The paint on this car still looks great. It is not perfect but very well kept (see photos). I cover this car on a daily basis.

Front coilover suspension
Rear lowering springs
Rear camaro shocks
Techno toy tuning strut bar

I'm very proud of the engine of my car. No, it's not an engine swap. It still has the original 20r engine. But it does have some slight modifications. And looks very clean.

22r performance distributor and MSD ignition and blaster coil.
Engine runs on dual 40 DCOE weber side drafts.
Top of the carburetors are chromed and so was the cannon intake.
Pace setter racing headers.
Engine bay was painted flat black and the valve cover was powder coated a candy blue.
Electric radiator fan instead of the stock belt driven one.
Most smog components were removed. Will not pass smog.
magnaflow exhaust

This car has never left me stranded. With those side drafts it runs better than ever, and MPG did not suffer. This car is really good on gas.

The car is on some 14x6.5 and 14x6 SSR Collin Star sharks. They are on new tires with about 2000 miles on them. Personally these are my favorite Japanese wheels ever made. I had them powder coated and shined for a full restoration. I understand not everyone likes these wheels so you can also take the car on some muscle car rims and tires I have lying around. I will Knock off 1000 bucks without the sharks.

Will trade for a Delorean.
