Rare Ride, 1986 Zimmer Quicksilver

Rare Ride, 1986 Zimmer Quicksilver

Rare Ride, 1986 Zimmer Quicksilver For Sale By Owner

Zimmer Quicksilver is a luxury coupe model built by an automaker from the United States, Zimmer Motorcars Corporation, based in Syracuse, New York. The company was founded in 1978 by Paul Zimmer, an automotive industrialist whose hobby was designing model vehicles. Zimmer Motorcars Corporation was founded to become a neo-classical car manufacturer, producing cars with classic, vintage, or retro looks, but based on a modern platform.

Zimmer's first production car was the vintage-looking Golden Spirit, produced from 1978 to 1988. And what we're offering here, his second model was the Zimmer Quicksilver, a mid-engined two-door luxury car based on the Pontiac Fiero. Manufactured from 1984 to 1988, the Zimmer Quicksilver became one of the most iconic luxury coupes of the mid-1980s, but at a price many say is outrageous. That costs over $50,000, for a car that's a rebuilt Fiero.
