1970 MG MGB GT Comes With Chrome Wire Wheels

1970 MG MGB GT Comes With Chrome Wire Wheels

Very nice a British classic car was produced by MG Cars comes with chrome wire wheels on bright red hatchback, it's a MGB GT built in 1970. The combination of Red with the chrome wires looks great...

Detail about this car
This is a nice example of an early MGB GT. The bodywork and paint are in overall very good condition with just the odd age related marks. There is no rot or rust issues. The car has had a bare metal restoration some years ago but has stood the test of time well. The engine is working fine with no issues and the interior is good.

Nice early examples give a lot of character and fun for not a lot of outlay. Team this with such low running costs and values rising. This makes a very affordable way of enjoying the classic car scene.

Engine & Transmission
The engine is running well, with no oil pressure or temperature issues. The gearbox is working just as it should and the overdrive unit is all working fine. The car starts well and drives well. The brakes etc pull up nice and straight. The engine bay is clean but not detailed.

Wheels, Tyres & Brakes
Chrome wires are in fine order with new spinners added a few years ago. The radials are all matching and have been fitted recently.

Exterior The red paintwork is good. This was some time ago so car is not as new, but it presents very well, with no rust issues. The car is undersealed and there is no welding issues etc. The original chrome bumpers do have pitting but are representative of the cars age.

Interior & Equipment
The interior is in good condition. It has an centre console with gagues. Has a battery isolator in the rear. Period Mota Lita steering wheel. All in all a nice interior.

1975 MG MGB GT V8 Race Car

1975 MG MGB GT V8 Race Car

British classic race car base on the MGB GT produced by MG Cars built in 1975, comes with V8 engine, hatchback body was designed by Pininfarina. Originally acceleration of the GT was slightly slower than that of the roadster due to its increased weight. But he got an increase on the top speed, more fast by 5 mph (8 km/h) to 105 mph (170 km/h) due to better aerodynamics. But for today this car more faster and stronger than the original.

1967 MG MGB GT Special

1967 MG MGB GT Special

When MG released the MGBGT in the United States in 1967 they commemorated its launch with 1,000 MGBGT "specials". Because the cars were dispatched from the factory late, the factory did not have time to install the special kits on the cars and the special kits were shipped separately to the dealers to be installed when the cars arrived. The story goes that the goodies in these kits, including special badging and a special factory wood-rimmed steering wheel, were often separated out and put on roadsters or sold out of parts departments.

Detail about this MGB
This 1967 MGBGT is one of the few "specials" that actually had the factory special kit installed by the dealer. If you notice the wood-rimmed steering wheel in the photos, you will rarely see another like it. All the original badging is still on the car, marking it as a true "special".

This car was originally shipped finished in mineral blue over black interior with blue piping. As you can see, the car still bears its original color scheme. A factory correct overdrive unit has been added, making this car the ideal MGBGT to own. Not only is it a special, with overdrive, but it has the much more desirable steel dashboard that was only used in 1967 on the MGBGTs.

Making the car even better, it has only 60,000 miles on the clock, believed to be original. There are brand new tires on as-new miniator center-spline knock off wheels. This car has been extremely well maintained by a legend in the MG car world who owned it previously. The car goes down the road straight with no shakes or rattles. Just a joy to drive.

The photos show just how original and well preserved this car is. You will not find a better example. Photo by Oxford Motorcars.
