1974 Datsun 260Z Survivor 133K For Sale By Second Owner

Found a classic sports car that was offered by the Japanese manufacturer Nissan Motors under the Datsun badge for the American user in the 70s, as shown here is a 1974 Datsun 240Z being offered for sale by the second owner on craigslist, located in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.

As shown here is a complete number-matching example of a 1974 Datsun 260Z, two owner survivor with only 133K miles on it still running and driving condition. It could be the perfect bone as restoration start.

1974 Datsun 260Z Engine

Under the hood reveals one of the pretty engines ever built by Nissan Motor, the engine bay retains its original red intake. Restoring the car to a factory-fresh state would be the path to rise its value. Datsun’s L-Series motors are the performance slave, and the most bulletproof to emerge from the east.

The engine has been running about 133K miles, and the history of the service is not clear, but judging from the age, you can say is a well-maintained example. When new, the original 2.4-liter inline-six mated to a four-speed manual transmission can produce 151hp, 16.6 seconds for quarter-mile elapsed times.

The owner supplies two interior shots, revealing many cracks on the dash, it's a sign he often sunbathes outside without decent upholstery, but the carpet and seat look nice with no tears or rot, of course, it's too old all need renovating and recoated. The rest you can estimate and calculate on your own, for accuracy, you have to come closer inspection.

Yeah, it's not perfect, you buy this car you should have extra money to restore, rebuild, and renovate. And finishing results that will determine its value.
