Wonderful 1955 Mercedes-Benz 300SL Gullwing

Wonderful 1955 Mercedes-Benz 300SL Gullwing on Red

Here one of the greatest work by Mercedes-Benz, a coupe with exotic door like a Gullwing on open position. This Mercedes had been sold for fantastic price (US$ 847,000) on last year Friday, January 18, 2013 at RM Auctions.

I thinks The 1955 Mercedes-Benz 300SL Gullwing is entered into a series of the best exotic cars in the worlds, the assessment is not excessive.

Every discerning persons like me.... ^_^ would be agree with my statement. It’s one of the iconic automobiles like the Ferrari 250 GTO or Volkswagen Bus for me.

Wonderful cars for very rich men, fortunately.

1961 Mercedes Benz O321H

1961 Mercedes Benz O321H Bus Converted Into Motorhome

Here's a super collector item, classic 1960s Mercedes-Benz buses. If you're American, this is extremely rare may never know unless you have traveled by public transport on Northern Mountain routes between Nepal, India, Tajikistan, South Asia, Switzerland, and Europe there is a large population of Mercedes-Benz buses there.

As shown here is a 1961 Mercedes-Benz O321H bus converted into a swank motorhome. This Mercedes-Benz bus was first put into service in 1961 when it shuttled around the Swiss national hockey team. After a few years, it was sold and converted into a luxury motorhome with two beds, two couches, a kitchen, a bathroom, and at least seven vinyl seats up front which may or may not be stock. Powered by a longitudinally mounted 5.7L OM322 diesel engine mated with a five-speed manual transmission, the bus is said to be a solid performer.

1967 Mercedes Benz O319

1967 Mercedes Benz O319 Original Survivor

Here's a rare classic microbus 1967 Mercedes Benz O319, available in several seating configurations it came in 10, 17, and 18-seat versions and has each with some different specifications as options. They were produced from 1956 to 1967 reportedly only 961 units were made and this is one of them. Most original owners of these were Motels, Resorts, Airlines, or big businesses.

Unfortunately, very few have survived today, as many were brought by Motels and Airlines, they would have all been traded on the newer model in the late 60s/early 70s as they all wanted the latest model to compete with each other.

So what happened to all of them, well the word is that the seats were taken out and they were just sold as plain vans or converted to campervans. Many of the European-based examples are rusted away or rot and there are very few left today.

About this vehicle
1967 Mercedes Benz O319, this the last generation of the series. The O319 custom seat is different from the basic configurations from the factory, he is equipped with 15 seats, panorama windows, and a roof rack (similar to Samba Bus has). 4-cylinder diesel engine, 46 HP, top speed approx 50 mph, built-in 1966.

Need of restoration costs from 3000 to 5000 euros and a lot of love, labor, and parts costs.
