Found this a nice example of old American family cars was listed at Craigslist about 30 days ago, and still online today. As shown here is first generation of DeSoto topline series commonly known as Firedome was released in 1953 as a 5-door station wagon body type. All looks great and present well by photos, reportedly has been totally restored.The car being offered for sale by owner friend, if you're interested must see closer.
Color combination looks great from here. Hard to find imperfections here, the dash shows exceptionally well in photos with clean surfaces wood, brown and white upholstery looks tidy and black carpets looks nice. Hoped all instruments work properly also. Anyway it's a pretty good renovation result.
As shown here is original engine was sit nicely on the bay. The Firedome was powered by a Hemi V8 engine, when new he can producing 160 hp, had a top speed of 100 mph (160 km/h) and need 15.5 seconds from 0 to 60 mph (100 km/h). This was the first time that DeSoto offered an 8-cylinder engine in one of its models since 1931.
