Nice Restoration, 1953 DeSoto Firedome Station WagonFound this nice example of old American family cars that was listed on Craigslist about 30 days ago, and is still online today. As shown here the first generation of the DeSoto topline series commonly known as the Firedome, was released in 1953 as a 5-door station wagon body type. All looks great and presented well by photos, and reportedly has been restored.
The car is being offered for sale by the owner's friend, if you're interested must see closer.
Color combination looks great from here. Hard to find imperfections here, the dash shows exceptionally well in photos with clean surfaces wood, brown and white upholstery looks tidy and black carpets looks nice. Hoped all instruments work properly also. Anyway it's a pretty good renovation result.
As shown here is original engine was sit nicely on the bay. The Firedome was powered by a Hemi V8 engine, when new he can producing 160 hp, had a top speed of 100 mph (160 km/h) and need 15.5 seconds from 0 to 60 mph (100 km/h).
