Rarer Than GTO, 1971 Pontiac Lemans Sport, Manual Trans

Rarer Than GTO, 1971 Pontiac Lemans Sport, Manual Trans

Rarer Than GTO, 1971 Pontiac Lemans Sport, Manual Trans For Sale

I came across a third-generation Pontiac LeMans for sale on Craigslist in Sagamore Beach, Massachusetts. The asking price is $39,900. Initially, the LeMans was a trim upgrade based on the Tempest. However, in 1971, Pontiac discontinued the Tempest name and introduced its intermediate lineup as the LeMans and GTO as a separate line. As we all know, the GTO is one of the most popular muscle cars and it was spawned from the LeMans lineup.

The car listed for sale is a fine example of the 1971 LeMans Sport edition, which is a combination of GTO and LeMans. This was done to avoid insurance premium surcharges that were imposed on muscle cars at that time. Essentially, it was a GTO in LeMans clothing.

1971 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme, Old School Muscle Car For Sale

Found this third generation of the Oldsmobile Cutlass being offered for sale on craigslist for $24,900 located in Sagamore Beach, Massachusetts. As shown here the 1971 Supreme model, shared much of the same exterior as 1970, but with some updated designs on the hood, grille, and headlight, as well as new bumpers and taillights.

Appeared at a time when the muscle car hegemony was endemic throughout the American market the third-generation Cutlass was quite successful, bringing the famous "Rocket" V8 continued in several different sizes and power options, with both the large 455 and 'small-block' 350 available with either 2- or 4-barrel carburetors. The small is what the seller offers, a clean car with no rust that runs well, and drives decent.

1971 Triumph GT6 MKIII Good Base To Restore

Found this British sports car in original yellow paint over black leather being offered for sale by its owner asking for $16,500, located in central LA. As shown here is the 3rd generation GT version of the Spitfire known as GT6 MKIII released in 1971.

No words about rebuilding or refurbishing, seems like the original example of the Triumph GT6 1971 MK3 is on the market today. Powered by a 2.0-liter inline-six mated to a four-speed manual transmission with 94000 miles shown by the odometer, it could be a perfect base to restore.

1971 Triumph GT6 MKIII Interior

As you've seen here is a two-seater two-door fastback, with an original-rimmed steering wheel on wood-dash fronts, completely instrumentation consisting of a 160-mph speedometer, a tachometer, including a cassette stereo, and a radio. Overall the interior looks a good shape far from rotten or torn but needs a reupholstery job to be perfect.

1971 Triumph GT6 MKIII engine

Very less info on the engine part, but it's a good angle view by photos, making it show well the engine detailed is a 2.0-liter inline-six claimed is run good and strong. Despite the fact, this is a non-runner, looks quite well cared for in its age. The engine side would be the main factor in what a wonderful survivor it appears to be. GT6s aren’t the most valuable British car you can buy, but this one looks perfect if you’re seeking a project that doesn’t have a lot of homework to sort out.
