1956 Porsche 550 Spyder 1500 RS

LeMans Tribute, 1956 Porsche 550 Spyder 1500 RS

LeMans Tribute, 1956 Porsche 550 Spyder 1500 RS

We found this car on Craigslist. It appears to be a replica of the final model of the Porsche 550, which was built by Porsche and released in 1956. It is a racing sports car with a 2-door spyder body and a removable hardtop. Despite its small size and low profile compared to its competitors at the time, the 550 Spyder was known as the "giant killer" and is considered a legend in motorsport.

This car is a high-quality replica of the Porsche 550 Spyder 1500 RS LeMans tribute. It has been featured in The Robb Report and the Orange County Register, and has been displayed at several concours events. It was also invited by Porsche North America to run fan laps at Laguna Seca at Rennsport Reunion IV in 2011. We acquired the car from its previous owner, Russ Rodriguez, a renowned 550 replica builder from Azusa, California. It has been in our collection for the past 5 years, but as we are transitioning into building our own Spyder recreations in aluminum alloy, we believe it's time for this car to find a new owner who can enjoy driving it.
