Very Rare, 1986 Zimmer Quicksilver

Very Rare, 1986 Zimmer Quicksilver

Very Rare, 1986 Zimmer Quicksilver For Sale By Owner

Zimmer Quicksilver is a luxury coupe model built by an automaker from the United States, Zimmer Motorcars Corporation, based in Syracuse, New York. The company was founded in 1978 by Paul Zimmer, an automotive industrialist whose hobby was designing model vehicles. Zimmer Motorcars Corporation was founded to become a neo-classical car manufacturer, producing cars with classic, vintage, or retro looks, but based on a modern platform.

Zimmer's first production car was the vintage-looking Golden Spirit, produced from 1978 to 1988. And what we're offering here, his second model was the Zimmer Quicksilver, a mid-engined two-door luxury car based on the Pontiac Fiero. Manufactured from 1984 to 1988, the Zimmer Quicksilver became one of the most iconic luxury coupes of the mid-1980s, but at a price many say is outrageous. That costs over $50,000, for a car that's a rebuilt Fiero.

1970 Ford Torino GT, M Code 351-4V

1970 Ford Torino GT, M Code 351-4V

1970 Ford Torino GT, M Code 351-4V For Sale

Found this nice American intermediate car that was offered by Ford in the 70s, named Torino was initially an upscale variation of the intermediate-sized Ford Fairlane. Some high-performance versions of the Torino by fitting with large powerful engines, such as the 428 and 429 "Cobra-Jet" engines, these cars are classified as muscle cars. And for the NASCAR competition, Ford chose the Torino as a base on that era, and it has a successful racing heritage.

As shown here is the second-generation Torino example in excellent condition. The second generation is a greater physical presence than its predecessor, making it the ideal base for a muscle car, but this is not an example of that class, it's one caste under. This a perfect example of the 1970 Torino GT, it has plenty of positive points allowing it to appeal to enthusiasts. It is a rust-free and unmolested classic with a drivetrain combination that delivers excellent performance.

Rarer Than GTO, 1971 Pontiac Lemans Sport, Manual Trans

Rarer Than GTO, 1971 Pontiac Lemans Sport, Manual Trans

Rarer Than GTO, 1971 Pontiac Lemans Sport, Manual Trans For Sale

Found this third generation of the Pontiac Lemans offered for sale on craigslist for $39,900 in Sagamore Beach, Massachusetts. Originally Lemans is a trim upgrade based on the Tempest then Pontiac dropped the Tempest name altogether in 1971 and introduced its intermediate lineup as Lemans and GTO as a separate line. As we know, the GTO is one most popular of the muscle cars, spawned from the Lemans lineup.

As shown here is a nice example of the 1971 Lemans Sport edition, which is a camouflage product between GTO and Lemans, to react to what insurers do at that time. It's something of a GTO in LeMans clothing.

In the early 70s, muscle cars were at the top of the success, then insurers send a punch at them with insurance premium surcharges, (to avoid surcharges) Pontiac responded by putting the GTO’s endura nose and hood on a LeMans Sport where its standard power was a six-cylinder engine, which is not on the muscle car list.

However, Pontiac allowed the customer to order the LeMans Sport with some of the same performance equipment as the GTO, such as 350, 400, or 455 cubic inch models, including the 455 High Output (HO) engine. Today’s find is of that special character, offered by the seller is a 400 model with an unusual 3-speed manual transmission, and it's more sensational when you shift the gears and rarest than the automatic model, even with GTO at once.
